Dry wall orange peel texture is a very interesting and quite simple plaster wall texture.  Orange peel drywall texture is very attractive and it is also quite popular simply because of the ease of application.  But the texture also adds a lot of character and even adds a little dimension to any room.  It is a great way to make a room a little more exciting, and the orange peel texture is not nearly as difficult to work with as some of the other types of wall textures that are also common in home remodeling projects.

Dry wall orange peel texture looks exactly like what its name sounds like.  If you look closely at a real orange peel, you will notice a pattern on the peel.  Orange peels have tiny little indentations all over the surface, and these pits and indentations are what you will end up with on your walls when you use the dry wall orange peel texture.

Dry Wall Orange Peel Texture

Dry wall orange peel texture is one of the easiest wall textures to achieve.  But that is not to say that it doesn't involve a little practice and a lot of patience.  The dry wall orange peel texture is actually not done with a brush, but rather with a machine.  The texturing material is loaded into the texturing machine.  Once this is done, you need to attach the hose and spray nozzle.  You will use the spray nozzle a lot like a garden hose to spray the dry wall orange peel texture over the walls.

Remember that you don't want to go overboard with the dry wall orange peel texture.  The thinner and lighter you apply the texture, the better the texture will look.  Lighter texture application makes the pits in the texture stand out more and makes them look cleaner.  So the best way to apply the dry wall orange peel texture is with quick strokes of the nozzle.  This will avoid over application of the texturing material.
